Patient Information



Patients are seen by appointment only and a referral letter is required to receive Medicare rebates. A referral from your GP is current for 12 months and from your Specialist for 3 months.

Please give 24 hours notice if an appointment needs to be cancelled.

When appointments are booked, please advise our Staff if it is an Ear, Nose or Throat problem.

On the day of the consultation, patients need to bring the current referral letter from their Doctor, Medicare card, Pension card (if applicable) and also any recent X-Rays and medical results.


Surgery Options

Mr Watson performs surgical procedures at various hospitals in Melbourne for patients insured, self insured and uninsured:

  • Patients with Health Insurance cover in a private hospital
  • Patients who choose to pay for their surgical procedures without insurance (self insured)
  • Uninsured patients – option to be placed on the waiting list in a public hospital


Fee Policy

The consultation fee will be explained by our Staff when the appointment is arranged.

Payment in full is required on the day.

Medicare rebate will apply with a current referral and can be claimed by our Staff on your behalf.

Concession will apply for Pensioners.

We are a private practice and therefore do not bulk bill.

Audiology Services

In both the Yarraville and Morwell rooms, full audiology services are always available offering the following...

  • Full diagnostic hearing test for children 8 months and older, including Educational hearing tests
  • Auditory nerve tests including ABR, ECOG & VEMP
  • Hearing aid fitting and rehabilitation (including Office of Hearing Services scheme)

Diagnostic hearing tests and auditory nerve tests are bulk billed (covered by Medicare).
